  • Tryon Beer Fest is located in Depot Plaza in historic Tryon, North Carolina. The street address is 22 Depot Street, Tryon, NC.

  • Yes. There will be large tents, but if weather is threatening you may still want to bring an umbrella or raincoat.

  • What are my local lodging options?

    Within Tryon, there is the Greenlife at the Mimosa and there are several vacation rentals on Air BnB and VRBO. For other options such as bed and breakfast inns, consult the Polk County Travel and Tourism and Explore Tryon websites.

  • There will be plenty of tasty food available from the “Chuck Wagon” as well as locally-made desserts available for purchase. Water and soda will be available for those not sampling beer. Tryon’s local restaurants will also be just steps away from the festival.

  • Convenient smoking areas will be designated. Please be considerate of smoke-sensitive persons when you light up.

  • All guests of the Tryon Beer Fest are expected to drink responsibly and ensure they have a safe and responsible means of transportation before leaving the event. Any guest who is intoxicated before entering the event, as determined by event security, will be denied entry to the event. Any guest found intoxicated during the event and causing a disturbance, as determined by event security, will be asked to leave the facility without refund and may be subject to further consequences.

  • There are various lots within walking distance surrounding the event as well as handicapped parking. View the overhead map here.

  • Limited tickets will be available at the entrance; cash payments are encouraged. Or, purchase your tickets in advance online.

  • The Tryon Beer Fest is a 21 and over event. Designated drivers must be 21 or over.

  • For the safety of attendees as well as animals, we do not allow pets at Tryon Beer Fest with the exception of service/assistance animals.

  • – Visit Explore Tryon to see what downtown Tryon has to offer before the fest. There are many fine shops and galleries just footsteps away.

    – Take time to enjoy the aroma and savor the flavor of your beer samples.

    – Drink plenty of water. Water not only cleanses your palate between your samples but keeps you hydrated.

    – Enjoy some of the great foods offered from our vendors to pair with your craft beer samples.

    – Remember, no kids, pets, or guns at the event.

    – Drink responsibly. Be safe and have a good time!

  • The event will be heavily staffed with friendly local volunteers wearing very distinguishable aprons. Ask any one of them what you wish to know. In the meantime, email your questions to downtowndirector@tryonnc.gov or ask on our Facebook page.

  • VIP tickets are limited and go fast each year! VIP includes access to the indoor VIP lounge (including indoor restrooms!) as well as exclusive souvenirs, food, and special beers. New for this year, the VIP Lounge is expanding to the porch of the Tryon Depot for a premium indoor/outdoor experience.

    General Admission tickets get you access to the festival, with unlimited beer tasting, music, and fun. Food from the Chuck Wagon is available for purchase. Get your General Admission tickets before September 1 for a special early bird discount.

    Designated Driver tickets are available for $10 and include festival access and nonalcoholic beverages.

Directions

From Asheville/North – Take I-26 East to the Tryon/Rutherfordton exit and bear right onto 108. Follow 108 for 3.5 miles into the heart of Tryon.

From Spartanburg/South – Take I-26 West to exit 67 (Columbus/Tryon). You’ll have to turn right off of the exit, at the roundabout keep to the left and stay on 108 for 3.5 miles into downtown Tryon.
